The ballots are in, the votes have been counted, and the Cook County Clerk’s Office has officially certified the results of the 2022 Gubernatorial Election to the Illinois State Board of Elections.

With more than 240 candidates running in a total of 137 individual races, the administration of the Gubernatorial Election is an extremely complex process. And it could not be effectively completed without the help of our talented Election Judges, Polling Place Technicians, and Election Day Staff.

Just one month before the November 8 Election, the Clerk’s Office was facing a significant shortage of election workers and we put out a call to military veterans and Cook County residents asking them to consider serving as a judge. We were thrilled and extremely thankful for the enthusiastic response, which helped to ensure that all our precincts were adequately staffed.

Thanks to those who stepped up to serve, we delivered a successful, safe, and fair election in suburban Cook County.

As we close the books on the 2022 Election, I would like to thank the voters for their determination and commitment to our democratic process. We look forward to seeing you for the Consolidated Elections in the Spring of 2023!
