Dancer and choreographer Savion Glover, 40, was born in Newark, New Jersey Nov. 19, 1973. A prodigy at a young age in the art of tap dance, Glover starred in the play “The Tap Dance Kid” in 1985 and had a supporting role in the film “Tap” (1988), which starred Sammy Davis Jr. and Gregory Hines. Glover’s later choreography work includes the off-Broadway show, Bring in ‘Da Noise, Bring in ‘Da Funk.
