Funeral service times have been set for Bettie Jones, the 55-year-old mother of five and grandmother of 10 who was fatally shot by Chicago Police on Dec. 26.
Jones’s visitation will be Tuesday, Jan. 5, at People Funeral Home, 5018 W. Chicago Ave., from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Her funeral will take place on Wednesday, Jan. 6 at New Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church, 4301 W. Washington Blvd., at 11 a.m. The wake will start at 10 a.m.
The visitation for Quintonio LeGrier, the 19-year-old who was also killed by police the night after Christmas, will take place Friday, Jan. 8 at Branch Funeral Home, 3121 Roosevelt Road, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. The funeral will take place at New Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church on Saturday, Jan. 9 at 11 a.m.
