Get tools to homeownership 

On Saturday, May 26, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Malcolm X College, 1900 W. Jackson Blvd., Chicago’s oldest African American real estate trade association, Dearborn Realtist Board, will host a “Community Wealth Building Day” designed to help build black wealth through homeownership.  This event will feature FREE admission, FREE credit reports, FREE food and more. Attend a town hall meeting on city’s schools 

On Thursday, May 24, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Michele Clark High School, 5101 W. Harrison St., Chicago Public Schools CEO Janice K. Jackson will host a town hall meeting for parents and community members in Networks 3 and 5 about how the city’s schools can best support students and families. 

Jackson will provide a brief overview of the state of the schools and reserve the majority of time for parents to speak.
