On Wednesday, July 4, 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the Jay Pritzker Pavillion at Millennium Park, enjoy the Grant Park Music Fest Independence Day Salute. Grab your picnic blanket and settle in for American classical favorites outside in Millennium Park. The Grant Park Orchestra, conducted by Christopher Bell, will treat guests to an evening full of American spirit and song, including the 1812 Overture and Stars and Stripes Forever. FREE. Take in some American-style patriotism 

On Wednesday, July 4, 10 a.m. to noon, at 1601 N. Clark St., enjoy the w. The celebration gives kids a chance to hear the Declaration of Independence read aloud, see live musical performances and watch the World’s Tallest Uncle Sam lead a children’s costume parade. FREE. Purchase affordable fruits
and vegetables
 

On Saturday July 7, 9 a.m., at Boombox Austin, 5846 W. Chicago., Forty Acres Fresh Market, an upstart grocer that provides affordable fruits and vegetables, will host a celebratory kickoff of its month-long residency in the pop-up business incubator. The first ten customers will receive $10 in free groceries and there will be shopper giveaways throughout the day. Attendees will also be able to enjoy nutritious treats from Live Cafe.
