Jazz at the Shedd — for free!
On Wednesday, June 12, Shedd Aquarium will launch the 23rd season of its iconic summer jazz event series — Jazzin’ at the Shedd. This mid-week unwind brings folks across the city together for brilliant sounds, pop-up animal encounters, science chats, drinks and an incredible skyline view for Navy Pier’s Wednesday night fireworks display. Wednesday is free for all Illinois residents with a valid ID.
This year, Shedd has also introduced a new ticket price for Chicago residents at $19.95. Passes to Jazzin’ for Chicago residents and non-Chicago residents ($24.95) both include full access to the aquarium, meaning guests can unplug from the weekly grind in several ways – from coming eye-to-eye with a beluga whale to touching the velvet back of a cownose ray. This access includes the popular outdoor Stingray Touch habitat and Shedd’s new special exhibit, Underwater Beauty.
