Learn about small business opportunities
On Thursday, Nov. 7, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Austin Town Hall Park, Austin Town Hall, 5610 West Lake St., state Rep. Camille Y. Lilly will host a free Small Business Forum. Participants can learn about the many programs and resources that the banking industry and the State of Illinois has to offer for small businesses to grow and m prosper in our community. This event is open to aspiring entrepreneurs and small business owners.
Attend a fresh produce market
From Friday, Nov. 8 through Sunday, Nov. 10, at 5051 W. Chicago Ave., Austin at 72 Chicago and Forty Acres Fresh Market will host Fresh Produce Markets. Markets feature a large selection of affordable fresh produce, recipe demonstrations, free recipe cards, free sampling, giveaways and food for purchase.

Learn about generational wealth
On Saturday, Nov. 9, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the JLM Abundant Life Center, 2622 W. Jackson Blvd., Sisters Investing for Success will present a Generational Wealth Seminar. The event will feature presentations on topics such as debt elimination, tax free retirement, insurance and generational wealth.

Attend a Cruise Blast Off Party
On Saturday, Nov. 9, 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., at Gone Again Travel and Tours, 5940 W. Chicago Ave., Austin Cruising Together and Crystal Dyer will host a Cruise Blast Off Party. This even will serve as the kickoff for next year’s fundraiser “Austin Cruising Together.”
All proceeds from the party and next year’s fundraising cruise will be used to help CAYTA send area youth and families abroad in August 2020 to tour and experience our homeland: Ghana, West Africa.

Hear Riccardo Muti conduct Prokofiev
On Sunday, Nov. 10, 5 p.m., at the Kehrein Center for the Arts, 5628 W. Washington Blvd., the Symphony of Oak Park and River Forest will host a free open rehearsal. Riccardo Muti, the music director for the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, will conduct Prokofiev (selections from Romeo and Juliet).
