Rosemary K. O’Connor (nee Unger), formerly of River Forest, died on July 24, 2020 at Brookdale in Oak Park. Born in the Richmond Hill area of New York, on Aug. 19, 1929 to the late George and Anna (De Gross) Unger, she spent her childhood years in Lansdowne, Pennsylvania, a small town just outside of Philadelphia. She graduated from the University of Miami in Florida, where she met her future husband, Edmund C. O’Connor. They were married on Aug. 4, 1951 at St. Philomena’s Church in Lansdowne, Pennsylvania. They moved to River Forest where they raised three children. She was active with the Infant Welfare Society and the Art Association of River Forest. She and Ed were longtime members of the Oak Park Country Club. 

Rosemary O’Connor was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathleen, in 1970 and by her husband in 2013. She is survived by her son, Edmund (Lauren Accinelli) O’Connor, and her daughter Lisa O’Connor. She is also survived by her brother George (the late June, MD) Unger, MD and their six children. 

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
