Neighbors will bike through North Lawndale on Saturday to promote love, positivity and peace on the West Side.
This is the third year local group Boxing Out Negativity has hosted its Street Love Ride. This year’s event will feature a community expo with music, snacks and activities, and a bike ride.
The event starts with the community expo 5-8 p.m. Saturday across the street from St. Agatha Catholic Church, 3147 W. Douglas Blvd., according to an event listing.
After that, attendees can take a 9-mile bike ride around North Lawndale. People can register for the free event can online at: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/street-love-ride-2022-new-date-tickets-166186136207.
People who want to support the event can sponsor the ride as an organization, volunteer to help or volunteer to serve on a safety squad.
Potential sponsors should complete the online partners’ form, while people looking to volunteer to help or serve on a squad should submit the volunteer and squad volunteer forms.
