Turkey Chop’s Giveaway is back from a pandemic break

Head over to restauranteur Quentin Love’s kitchen the day before the national holiday and indulge in community – and turkey.

His community kitchen returns after a pandemic hiatus. He plans to give away least 1,000 turkeys.

He’s also asking for some donations to, well, give a little love, to help continue this tradition and his practice of feeding those who need it free meals.

“Everybody who stands in that line is a representation of me. So, it’s important that we share love with the random stranger and do what we can to balance the scales,” Love said.

The giveaway begins at noon Wednesday, Nov. 21 at Turkey Chop Gourmet Grill, 3506 W. Chicago Ave. To donate, visit https://gofund.me/3a8ece29.

The International Free and Accepted Modern Freemasons, Inc. and Order of the Eastern Star are offering free dinners Thursday, Nov. 24.

They’re also sponsoring a free grocery giveaway.

The event begins at 11 a.m. at the Most Worshipful William V. Banks Grand Lodge at 5323 W. Lake St.
