As Americans across the country gathered on Saturday for No King protests in their respective communities, Austin residents did the same in their neighborhood.

Dozens of locals gathered at Columbus Park Field House on March 28 and walked to the Aspire Center at 5500 W. Madison St.

The No Kings protest was to stand up for democracy during Donald Trump’s administration, according to statements by Cong. Danny Davis and State Rep La Shawn Ford: “We’re coming together to send a clear message that power belongs to the people —not any one person.”
