State Representative La Shawn K. Ford partnered with District 97’s Multicultural Education Department to present the 6th Annual Family Health Challenge at Percy Julian Middle School, 416 S. Ridgeland in Oak Park on Monday January 21st, 2013.  The celebration, in honor of Martin Luther King Jr., also showcased a viewing of the historic second inauguration of President Barack Obama.  Families were treated to a variety of special musical and athletic performances before challenging their own fitness levels.  This event was sponsored by the Oak Park and River Forest Community Foundation.
